It is with great sadness that I must report the passing of Jeff Williams. Three Rivers Outboard Racing Association and all of APBA have lost a true gentleman and ambassador for our sport.

Jeff and his family entered our racing community in the early 80's and quickly became a lynch pin of our club. From performing as an Inspector, Race Director, Governor, Vice Commodore and Commodore, Jeff absolutely gave more than he ever took from boat racing.

Please grant peace to the entire Williams family.

All-

First and foremost, we hope that all our TRORA and Racing Families are healthy and safe during the Covid 19 crisis.  I am sure that we all are hoping that less “Beach Racing” now and more social distance between all of us will result in as short as possible time under this “Wind Delay”.

Second – TRORA is still going ahead with planning for our Spring Franklin event.   The Sanction and Insurance has been submitted and it will be a joint APBA/CBF event.  More info will be coming soon.

Team TRORA traveled to Wakefield, MI in the west end of the Upper Penninsula to enjoy the beautiful scenery and compete in the 2019 APBA Stock and Junior National Championships.  The weather was so beautiful early in the week that the race committee pushed hard through the schedule anticipating the weather could change late in the week.  Their weather predicting ability was spot-on as racing was finished Thursday morning and the lake became unusable due to high-winds as Friday approached....

From the Kittanning Leader Times newspaper, April 16, 2019

It’s the power boaters who really create the buzz — and not just with their high-octane motors.
The word of mouth spread by those who take part in the Kittanning Riverbration contributed largely to the event recently being named winner of the American Power Boat Association (APBA) prestigious Best Site Award for 2018.
“Racers talk to each other — they come from Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvani...
